The best kind of restaurant when you have a group with diverse tastes and/or food allergies is probably an izakaya, the simple "pubs" you can find all over Japan. They have a wide variety of small dishes with beef, pork, fowl, fish and other seafood and vegetables, usually well divided so that it's easy to tailor the food to each person's satisfaction. Izakayas are also usually very reasonably priced.

Do a search for "izakaya tokyo" and you will get plenty of results.

Note that not ALL izakayas have a variety of things on the menu. Some are more narrowly  specialised.

In that case, I think the best place to go is Izakaya. In Izakaya, you can eat almost everything like fish, meat, tofu, vegetables, noodle and of course rice. Most of Izakaya can serve even French fries (Ohh sorry for Belgian people, Belgian Fries). There are so many kind of menu and drinks. So your friends can find whatever they want to eat!  You can find nice Izakaya in this web site. Enjoy!
