Minimalist Packing Recommendations on Shorts and Pants that will handle Tokyo Summer Heat and not look out of place?

Last updated

I will be visiting Tokyo and the surrounding area for about 10 days during the hottest part of the summer, so I am looking for some insight on what to buy beforehand. If possible specific things or links, at this time I am aiming for a couple of pairs of shorts and a pair of pants. From research quick dry and breathable like Nylon or Merino Wool mixes. However, also do not want to necessarily look like a traveler either. :)

Summer in Tokyo is extremely hot and we avoid going out for a long time during the day. If you are doing that, you should carry a bottle of water to avoid getting heatstroke.
UNIQLO's product AIRISM is very comfortable wear. I am not sure if you can find in your country but you can find in any UNIQLO stores in Tokyo:

Thank you! I will likely do a few day tours and staying in a hostel for the first part of my trip, so UNIQLO may be perfect for my last few items.
