Many maid cafes are open until night so having dinner at a maid cafe would be an Akihabara-like experience.
Another interesting place where you can experience "Moe" and "Otaku" culture would be "train Izakaya", railway Izakaya Little TGV.
The staffs wear costumes inspired by train staffs and you can get seated on a real train seats! There is a miniature train running in the restaurant. Food and drinks are inspired by Japanese railway system. This Izakaya is dedicated for railway geeks, but it was surely enjoyable!
What kind of things do you want to do in Akihabara?
If you move to nearby Ueno and Kanda, there are many Japanese Izakaya restaurants.
