Few weeks ago, I was in the area and visited places below:
- Kinugawa Tateiwa Otsuribashi Bridge
The view of leaves from this bridge was awesome!
There was a trail around the bridge where you can reach to a small observation deck to see the great view of Kinugawa River.

- Ryuokyo
This valley also had beautiful leaves and waterfalls. The trail was about 1.5 hours to go around. I spent a very nice time there being in the nature.

I have never experienced but Kinugawa river boat ride seems very nice and it is also very popular.
The valley gets very beautiful when the leaves color change in autumn. (Autumn is said to be the busiest season in this area) It seems good to experience the boat ride in summer, too.
They accept walk-ins but better to have a reservation if you want to make sure you get a seat.
