Mito is fairly close to port town such as Oarai, so there are fresh seafoods. Also Mito is famous for natto.

ANKO/LOCAL FOOD: SANSUI
"Anko (goosefish) -nabe" is one of the local speciality in winter. Sansui has Anko nabe and lot of other Ibaraki local cuisines.
