During the Golden Week, is it better to travel arouond Tokyo or going to other sub urban area ?

Transportation is extremely crowded during Golden Week, especially ones going from Tokyo to suburbs. Tokyo isn't get as less crowded as you expect. Major sights are pretty crowded, as well as suburbs because people travel from Tokyo to those places. 
I guess it doesn't matter too much, just note that if you are planning to travel somewhere from Tokyo, book seats ahead because it will be hard to find a seat if the dates get close.
