Some places I would like to go to are Rissaku ji Temple, Zao ropeway, Moga I River Boat ride and Yamagata Museum of Art/Yamagata Castle. Do you have suggestions for any of these specific places?
I presume you mean Tendo in Yamagata. It's next to Yamagata Airport and has the Yamagata bullet train running through. But that's it. Within the city, your only options are buses, walking, and taxis. As far as going to some other city or town, unless you give more specific info, it's impossible to...
Hi, you mean Sahimi, raw fish? if I were you, I'd go to Tsukiji to eat Sashimi, because there are many restaurants out there. It takes only 10min by train from Akihabara to Tsukiji.
You definitely should make a stop at Yamadera (Risshakuji temple) in Yamagata Prefecture. It's a temple up on the mountain, the view from the top after walking over 1,000 steps is breathless. Also the quiet and forestry atmosphere are really relaxing. About Yamadera: https://hubjapan.io/articles/...

You don't give your full schedule, but if it fits in your plans, you should also consider the JR East Tohoku Area Pass. It is way cheaper, and you might find it a better choice. More details of it are here.Nearly any major travel agency that sells air tickets to Japan can also sell rail passes. I...
It’s covered by the JR pass. Seats can be booked through internet but you cannot select specific seat number and box seats. If you definitely want to reserve box seat, you have to physically come to ticket office at any JR stations and reserve it.
Thank you! When I tried to book it only gave me a choice of 2 or 3 people, I couldn’t book it as a solo traveler, that’s why I asked. I have already left Japan, but I will make sure to use The Hub next time I am there! :) I will check if there isn’t anything similar in London!
