Ramen and green tea are all time favorite to Japanese locals. What happens if you mix those two? Nisshin produced the new flavor Matcha Green Tea Cup Noodle!

How is matcha green tea cup noodle like?

They added “matcha”, green tea, flavor to the creamy seafood soup and it made the flavor very mild. Matcha cup noodle uses “green noodle” for the first time in Cup Noodle’s history. The noodle also contains matcha as one of the ingredients. Toppings are squid, cabbage, green onion, egg and carrots.

Don’t miss the packaging. They are so pretty with Ukiyo-e like illustrations of Mt. Fuji, Shinkansen, etc.

Matcha Green Tea Cup Noodle is a part of “Japan Noodles Trio”

Nisshin starts to sell other two products with Matcha Green Tea Cup Noodle as a series of “Japan Noodles Trio”. First one is Nisshin Donbei Sukiyaki flavored Udon. This instant Udon noodles contain sukiyaki flavored soup and beef-like textured soybean, carrots, and green onions. Another one is Nisshin Yakisoba U.F.O. Ume-Kobu Cha Yakisoba. Ume-Kobu Cha is plum flavored seaweed dashi. The base of Yakisoba is salt flavor, and the sauce contains sourness of plums and great aroma of sesame oil. Toppings are Ume (plum) flakes, cabbages, and seaweed.
